realizes that efficient conversion of historical data is of critical
importance to many of our clients. In this regard, GIS\Solutions
would be pleased to review your existing project data. After this
review we will be able to provide accurate budget estimates for T&M,
unit price or fixed price data conversion efforts. These may be performed
either as turnkey projects or jointly with clients as part of startup
and training. The conversion effort is usually charged one of two
ways:
- On a unit cost
basis, at an average cost of $0.01 to $0.20 per electronic database
record converted, up to $0.40 per record on hard copy; pricing depends
upon amount of data and its quality. Significant discounts apply
for a large number of records.
- On a lump sum
basis for the complete data conversion. Lump sum data conversion
quotes require approximately 8 to 16 hours of initial time and materials
effort by our technical services staff to assess the quantity, quality
and format of the existing data, find the most appropriate conversion
procedure(s), and calculate precise costs.
GIS\Solutions
will also be pleased to assist client engineers in customizing project
site base maps, appending newly acquired site data to our system efficiently
and generating output as requested.
These services
may be performed on a time and materials basis. All time and materials
work will be in accordance with our most recent fee schedule and on
a budgeted basis, i.e. not to be exceeded without written client authorization.
