GIS\Solutions, Inc. is an independent, private company that was formed in 1989 by environmental professionals. Two of the original founders are still at the company today, Lawrence Eytel and Kenneth Stevens. Mr. Ken Stevens received his Bachelors degree in Geology from the University of California at Davis in 1972 and a Masters degree in Water Resources Engineering from Clemson University in 1974. Before founding GIS\Solutions, he spent 15 years working for the South Carolina Water Resources Commission and the U. S. Geological Survey managing environmental field programs and implementing related computer models. Dr. Larry Eytel received a Bachelors degree in Physics and Mathematics from the City University of New York in 1968, a Masters degree in Physics from Rutgers University in 1970 and a Ph.D. in Physics from Rutgers in 1974. He is a former President of ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) Environmental Services Inc., (now part of Harding Lawson) and came to GIS\Solutions with more than 25 years of engineering and senior management experience. The rest of the company is comprised of computer software programmers, geologists, technical support personnel, and sales staff. |
