GIS\Key™ Features

  • A Design That Will Please Users
  • A Fully Integrated Relational Database
  • Comprehensive Data Management
  • Advanced Graphical Interface
  • Satisfies EPA and Industry Requirements

Like other GIS systems, the GIS\Key™ software suite includes a database and a graphical component. Both components use industry standard software and formats to guarantee compatibility with existing, and future, data and reporting needs.

GIS\Key's™ standard database platform is Microsoft Visual FoxPro. Visual FoxPro uses the popular dBase III+ or .DBF file format which can be read from, and written to, by almost any database or spreadsheet software on the market. Please note that v3.x query, reporting and mapping tools can attach to (and query data from) any database, even one with a different table structure than our standard.

GIS\Key's™ standard graphic engine is AutoCAD or AutoCAD MAP. AutoCAD's .dwg format is the most widely used and transferred graphic format. Use of GIS\Key™ with AutoCAD MAP allows the user to combine standard GIS functions like topology and thematic mapping with the highly automated GIS\Key™ applications. The drawing management capabilities of AutoCAD allows the environmental professional to visualize their own interpretations of site data. In addition, GIS\Key™ v3.x can deliver data to any graphic, CAD or GIS platform

The complete integration of GIS\Key's™ database, mapping and graphical applications is what makes GIS\Key™ the most comprehensive and efficient site analysis tool on the market today. The software has full documentation and technical support.
