After evaluating real projects, the EPA concluded that GIS\Key™ reduces data management costs by up to 50%, while significantly improving data quality. The EPA evaluation of GIS\Key™ occurred in 1993-1994. GIS\Solutions has made numerous enhancements to GIS\Key™ since the time of the evaluation. We currently recommend that users implement GIS\Key™ on a 486 or Pentium PC. GIS\Key™ currently supports Windows 95, 98 and NT. A Tech Trends article, EPA publication EPA 542-N-94-006, August 1994, summarized the findings of the EPA. The Innovative Technology Evaluation Report (Document No. EPA/540/R-94/505) and a Site Technology Capsule (Document No. EPA/540/SR-94/505) describe detailed results of the evaluation.
